Food sources of Quercetin are plentiful (and varied)! It can be found in fruits such as apples, grapes and blueberries. Additionally, it's found in red onions, capers and green tea leaves. In fact, you'll even find it in herbs like thyme and oregano!
However, not all foods have the same levels of quercetin. For example, while apples contain a large amount of this phytonutrient, oranges surprisingly don't! Moreover, some vegetables like kale and tomatoes contain high amounts too.
Interestingly enough, quercetin is also found in certain beverages such as wine and beer. Even though these drinks contain small amounts of this nutrient compared to other sources previously mentioned, they still offer health benefits if consumed moderately!
Furthermore, there are several supplemental forms of quercetin available on the market today if you prefer to take it that way! Nonetheless, taking supplements may not always provide the same health benefits as obtaining the nutrient from natural food sources. Thusly(!), eating nutritious meals with quercetin-rich ingredients is always preferable.
